Acurva Roofing is a full-service certified ANSI-SPRI ES-1 sheet metal shop.

Sheet metal in general is utilized in flat roofing for a verity of applications, such as, coping cap, gutter, down spouts, slip flashing, scuppers, collector boxes, pitch pans, stacks, hoods, receiver, and counter flashing. Our sheet metal shop can custom fabricate numerous different parts from numerous different types of metal including galvanized, pre-finished galvalume, copper, stainless steel, aluminum, zinc, and TPO/PVC Clad metals.

Acurva Roofing has vast experience with many different types of metal roofing and wall panels. We are certified with several of the top tier metal roof manufactures in the United States. Certifications are required to obtain Full System 20 Year No Dollar Limit warranties.

Metal Roofing is usually considered during the design phase of projects because it provides an aesthetic component not captured in a flat roof design. Metal roofs can come in many different gauges, colors, and profiles. There are basically 2 different types of metal roof panels.

Structural panels—able to span between joist and some panels are able to perform at ½” per foot slope.

Architectural panels—are not able to span and must have solid sheathing to support the panel architectural panels usually require a minimum 3” per foot slope.

Also, certain structural and architectural panels can be curved to a radius allowing even more design choices.

What We Do

Our Safety Roofing Services

General:

  • Every person hired at Acurva Roofing goes through a new hire orientation which consist of a full range of safety classes with emphasis on fall protection.
  • Maintaining training records and certifications of all employees.
  • Yearly audit for safety training and certifications to ensure they are current for each employee. Acurva Roofing provided the required re-training or refresher courses to keep training and certifications current.
  • Acurva Roofing will maintain a complete safety manual with policies and procedures.
  • Investment in safety equipment

 

Specific:

  • Every project has its own unique site-specific safety plan. The written plan will be augmented with a roof plan which illustrates the safety set-up and maintenance of safety equipment.
  • Daily JHA (job hazard analysis) is a form the crew completes together before beginning any shift. This form aids in identifying the hazards and mitigating the hazards before starting work or before a major change in tasks.
  • Acurva Roofing employees a Third-Party Safety Consultant. As part of this arrangement, they perform unannounced site visits. During this visit, the foreman and crew will be coached accordingly followed with a full report and rating system—these reports have digital photos and show corrective actions.
  • Toolbox Talks take place every Friday morning, and the Toolbox “Topic” changes every week. This allows training to occur on a weekly basis and provides a broad base of knowledge. These handouts are signed by attendees and inserted into our safety records.
